Acceptable use policy

What may not be built or published with the service, how we check and what we may do about it.

1. What this covers

This policy says what you may not build or publish with Vibeminter. It is the same set of rules as section 4 of the terms of service, on a page of its own. It applies to your requests, to what the builder writes in reply and to anything we host for you.

2. What is not allowed

You do not use Vibeminter to build or publish:

  • software that collects other people's passwords, card details or other credentials, or impersonates a person or an organisation;
  • malware, spyware or anything made to watch or harm people without their knowledge;
  • gambling, loans, crypto exchanges, trading or investment-advice apps, or adult content;
  • apps that diagnose, treat or give medical advice, or make health claims;
  • apps aimed at children;
  • apps that fake a real person's face or voice, or that clone a real person's voice;
  • a copy of another company's app, or an app that uses another party's trademark or a brand name as its own name;
  • an app in one of the categories Apple treats as crowded, unless it is built around a real difference from the apps already there.

3. Safety disclaimers on identifier and health apps

An app that identifies plants, mushrooms or medication, or that tracks health, carries a safety disclaimer that you cannot remove. Its answers cannot say that something is safe to eat or safe in any other way, and cannot make a medical decision. Wrong answers on these subjects can hurt people, so the disclaimer is part of the app and not a setting.

4. How we check

We check every request and every reply of the builder for these rules, with rules and with a model, and we refuse what we find before any credit is held.

5. What we may do

We may stop a build, remove hosted content and close an account that breaks this policy. Content that is objectionable or abusive is removed and the account behind it is ejected.

6. Reporting a problem

To report abuse or a copyright or trademark problem with something we host, write to the abuse address of the service. That address is not published yet and will be named here before any hosted page goes live.

7. Adults only

The service is for people who are at least 18 and of the age of majority where they live.
